chants, prayers, invocations for private and public rituals and
celebrations: welcoming of child, joining of lives, celebration of lives
of the deceased. Covers formal concerns, finding sources for ancient
goddess prayers, attending to sound and spirit. A hands-on creative
workshop. 1 1/2 hours.

Artemis, Greek goddess of wild lands, was both a
fierce hunter and a midwife to humans and other animals. What lessons
does she hold for us as we encounter the challenges of global climate
change brought about by human activity? What distinctions and decisions
does Artemis ask us to make today? And how, in nurturing the world’s
wild places, can we also sustain and celebrate those within each of us?
